Cleaning.

I love some of the apartments on your site but cleaning concerns me. I know it's the host's responsibility to ensure the apartment is cleaned... but to what standard? What if I arrive and I don't think it is clean enough or has been cleaned properly. As I'm travelling with kids I am worried about this. What would I/should I do?

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for your note and your interest in Kid & Coe.

We expect all our hosts to prepare their home to the best possible standard, and we always recommend that properties are professionally cleaned in advance of a guest arrive.

If you arrive at a property and you feel the property has not been cleaned properly, the in the first instance your host should always be informed to give them the opportunity to rectify any issues. In the unlikely event that you arrive and the property is unfit for a stay, they you can vacate the property. Our Guest Assurance Policy states that if you do depart, you must have spoken to the host about the issue. We will only consider refunding if we have a full description of any problems, along with photographic evidence to support the request for a refund. Please note that if a claim for a refund is successful, we would charge for any nights that have been used plus the cleaning fee and the remainder would be refunded.
