When an exchange is confirmed, $/£/€150 will be charged to each host as an ‘Exchange Fee’. This covers ‘Cancellation Protection’ (& the Community Protection Plan for Private Host Properties). If a host wishes to cancel an already confirmed exchange, full details must be sent to the guest and also firstname.lastname@example.org.
Reasons for cancellations will need to be backed up with supporting proof from the host who is cancelling an exchange and must be submitted to Kid & Coe.
Note: Only the host who had their exchange cancelled can make a claim for compensation to cover the cost of lost flights or flight changes. The maximum amount payable in the event of this type of claim is $2000 (with a $250 deductable excess).
