What happens if there is a cancellation?

Last Updated: Apr 09, 2019 09:23AM EDT
When an exchange is confirmed,  $/£/€150 will be charged to each host as an ‘Exchange Fee’. This covers ‘Cancellation Protection’ (& the Community Protection Plan for Private Host Properties). If a host wishes to cancel an already confirmed exchange, full details must be sent to the guest and also
Reasons for cancellations will need to be backed up with supporting proof from the host who is cancelling an exchange and must be submitted to Kid & Coe.

Note: Only the host who had their exchange cancelled can make a claim for compensation to cover the cost of lost flights or flight changes.  The maximum amount payable in the event of this type of claim is $2000 (with a $250 deductable excess).
